Attend La Tomatina in Spain

La Tomatina fills the streets of Buñol with a tightly managed, deliberately absurd tomato fight. It is best for people who enjoy dense crowds, physical silliness and communal events, and much less suitable for anyone who dislikes noise, mess or being jostled. The main event takes place on the last Wednesday of August and requires an official ticket for most visitors. Book early, arrange transport before the day and use only official information; arrive with enough time for access checks and follow steward instructions throughout. Wear closed shoes and clothes you are willing to ruin, protect your eyes and leave valuables behind or sealed securely. Squash tomatoes before throwing, do not bring bottles or hard objects, stop when signalled and move away if crowd pressure or heat becomes unsafe. Count this as complete after entering the ticketed event area and taking part during the official tomato fight while following the rules. Watching from outside is a valid alternative, but it is not the same activity.
