Be interviewed on a podcast

Be interviewed on a podcast.

Decide what you want to say and who should hear it. Choose one clear angle—an instructive story, a practical lesson or a distinctive viewpoint—and reduce it to a single-sentence pitch that explains why that episode’s listeners will care. Find shows that book guests like you and send a short, personalised pitch that references a recent episode and the exact angle you’ll bring. Include your one-sentence pitch, two bullet points of topics you can cover, and links to any previous interviews or short clips. Before recording, agree logistics with the host: length, format (conversational, Q&A, panel), tech platform, and any questions the host wants to cover. Do a quiet sound-check, use a good microphone or headphones with a mic, and keep notes of one-line anecdotes or data you can use to answer clearly. After the episode, ask the host for a copy of the recording, a short bio and show-links to share, and referrals to two other podcasters. Share the episode on your channels with a short commentary to extend reach and relationship value.
