Complete a work exchange on an organic farm
Arrange and carry out a supervised work-exchange (WWOOF/Workaway-style) on an organic farm, trading around 4–6 hours of daily practical help for food and accommodation while learning regenerative farming skills. Confirm the host’s expectations (typical day, sleeping arrangements, dietary provision), any platform or country membership fees, and practicalities such as travel, local transport and whether the host accepts visitors in your chosen months. Check immigration and visa rules for your destination before booking (some countries limit unpaid work exchanges or require specific temporary-entry routes), and agree clear boundaries on hours, days off and duties so the placement remains educational, safe and lawful. Pack for physical outdoor work (sturdy boots, weatherproof layers, gloves), be prepared for uneven terrain and animal contact, and plan at least a few weeks to several months in advance for popular seasons and remote hosts.
