Do a Body Shot

Do a Body Shot

A body shot is an intimate adult party ritual in which a small drink or alcohol-free equivalent is taken from another person’s skin or a cup positioned against the body. Its only defensible version is planned, mutual and private enough that nobody becomes entertainment against their wishes. The point is a playful shared moment, not a test of daring or access to somebody’s body. Discuss the exact action before preparing anything: who participates, what area may be touched, what clothing remains, which ingredients are used and whether anyone may watch or photograph. Consent must be specific and can be withdrawn without explanation at any second. Everyone involved needs capacity to choose; exclude anyone who is underage, asleep, heavily intoxicated, dependent on the group or responding to pressure. Use a clean cup or intact skin away from eyes, genitals, broken areas and products not intended for ingestion. Check citrus, salt, latex and other allergies, avoid glass that can chip, and do not use flames. Keep the liquid measure small, have water and never combine the activity with rapid-drinking games. Alcohol-free versions keep the theatre while removing intoxication and can be the better choice. Put phones away unless every identifiable person gives explicit permission for a particular image and its use. Stop immediately at hesitation, discomfort or a change of mind, then respond without sulking or persuasion. Completion is one consensual body shot after clear agreement, with everybody still comfortable afterwards—not surprising somebody, using alcohol to obtain consent or sharing intimate footage because the event occurred in a social setting.
