Do goat yoga

Goat yoga combines a gentle group class with curious goats moving among the mats. The animals may wander past, investigate clothing or settle nearby while an instructor leads simple poses. Laughter and unpredictability are central; it is better approached as supervised animal interaction with stretching than as a focused or advanced yoga practice. Choose an experienced operator that can explain its animal-welfare arrangements, public liability cover, hygiene controls and any local-authority licence required for exhibiting animals commercially. Ask how goats are selected, transported, rested and given food, water, shelter and the choice to move away. Sessions should be limited around the animals' needs, with competent handlers present throughout rather than an instructor trying to manage both roles alone. Wear old fitted clothes and closed footwear, cover cuts and wash hands thoroughly after contact. Do not attend if the provider's health guidance makes the session unsuitable, and tell the instructor about pregnancy, allergies, injuries or reduced immunity. Keep food, jewellery and loose straps away from goats, never lift, chase, restrain or climb on them, and stop a pose when an animal enters your space. Follow the handler's directions and accept that no goat owes you contact or a photograph. Choose a stable resting pose when one approaches and let it leave immediately. Completion is a light, welfare-led class in which both people and animals remain comfortable—not forcing a staged interaction, demanding perfect yoga concentration or supporting a business that treats visible stress as entertainment.
