Go to Comicon
The doors open onto a hall where a handmade costume can stop a corridor, an artist's table can begin a new obsession and a panel can turn a familiar story inside out. A comic convention works because everybody has brought some part of their imagination into the same room. Choose a recognised comics or pop-culture convention and shape one day around what matters to you: independent creators, a panel, gaming, collecting or cosplay. Read the programme early because popular sessions, accessibility arrangements and entry queues may need planning. Check the event's costume, prop, photography and harassment rules before travelling. Ask before photographing cosplayers, keep realistic-looking props securely packed outside the venue, set a spending limit and build in quiet breaks from crowds and noise. Count it complete after attending for a meaningful part of the day and taking part in at least one convention-specific experience. Add it if you want to spend a few hours somewhere enthusiasm is not background noise—it is the thing holding the whole room together.
