Try a paint and sip class
A row of blank canvases starts the evening looking identical. By the end, the same guided picture has become a roomful of different skies, colours and cheerful departures from the plan. A paint and sip class is social art-making with enough structure to get everyone started. The tutor demonstrates one stage at a time, materials are usually supplied and the drink may be wine, coffee or something alcohol-free; the painting works without alcohol. Choose a subject you would enjoy looking at for two hours, check age and drinks rules, and confirm whether the venue can meet your access needs. Wear clothes that can survive a splash, pace any alcohol, arrange a safe journey home and feel free to change the palette rather than chasing an exact copy. Count it complete when you have stayed for the class and taken home your finished canvas. Add it if a little company and a shared starting point would make picking up a brush easier.
