Visit Bahamas

Choose an island before you choose a beach. Nassau and Paradise Island concentrate history, restaurants and resorts, while Andros brings blue holes and forest, the Exumas spread settlements across long chains of cays, and Eleuthera changes the pace again. The Bahamas is an archipelago, so a trip planned only around the country name can lose time and money to unnecessary transfers. Boats, domestic flights and weather shape what is practical. Hurricane season runs from June to November, and official storm updates should replace assumptions based on a forecast made months earlier. Build the trip around one or two compatible islands, check current entry rules and use trusted operators for water excursions. Leave buffer time around inter-island connections, follow beach warnings and never treat coral or wildlife as props. Add this to your list and give one island enough attention to become more than a strip of sand.
