Walk Vietnam's Golden Bridge

A gold-coloured walkway curves out over forest, apparently resting in two enormous weathered hands. Cloud moves across the Ba Na Hills, opening and closing views towards Da Nang, so the bridge can feel suspended in blank white air one minute and high above green mountains the next. Opened in 2018, the Cầu Và ng is contemporary landscape architecture rather than an ancient monument. Its giant hands were designed to look aged, creating an intentional contrast between theatrical sculpture and mountain setting. Knowing that does not spoil the illusion; it makes the engineering and staging easier to appreciate. The bridge sits within a mountain resort reached by cable car, so access, admission and operating conditions are tied to that wider site. Check current weather and travel advice, expect crowds and rapid mist or rain, and keep to barriers. The bridge itself is paved, but slopes, transfers and the wider complex should be checked for individual access needs. Count it complete after crossing the full bridge and pausing to observe how the view changes with weather and position. Add it if you enjoy places where design does not merely frame a landscape but creates a new way of moving through it—briefly placing you between forest, cloud and sky.
