Your 2027 festival tickets need sorting now

Reading is already on sale. Glastonbury registration closes this month. Green Man tickets follow soon. Here are the dates worth putting in the group chat before the group chat blames you.

Reading Festival tickets are already on sale. Glastonbury registration closes on 25 September. Green Man releases all its 2027 tickets the following day. This is therefore less a dreamy article about next summer and more an administrative intervention. Nobody enjoys festival ticket admin. It involves coordinating six people who can all reply instantly to a photograph of a dog, but apparently need three working days to confirm whether they want to spend a weekend together. Still, doing the dull bit now is considerably better than discovering the deadline from somebody else's triumphant booking screenshot. Weekend camping, weekend non-camping and early-entry tickets are currently available through the festival's official ticket page. Payment plans allow you to secure a weekend ticket with a £20 deposit and pay the balance in monthly instalments. The useful decision is not whether you know the full line-up yet. It is whether Reading is sufficiently likely to make your 2027 list that you would rather secure a ticket now than wait for a later announcement and accept whatever availability remains. Only use Reading's authorised sellers. The festival currently names Ticketmaster as its primary agent and See Tickets as the other authorised seller, and explicitly warns against tickets offered through unauthorised resale sites and social media. Registration is free and closes at 5pm BST on Friday 25 September 2026. If you already have a registration, the festival advises checking that the details remain correct and the photograph still looks like you. This is not the moment to discover that your official likeness dates from a period when you had different hair and considerably more faith in low-rise jeans. Ticket and coach packages go on sale at 6pm BST on Thursday 1 October. General admission follows at 9am BST on Sunday 4 October. A transaction can include up to six tickets, but you need the registration number and registered postcode for every person before starting. General admission costs £408, including the £5 booking fee, plus postage and packing. Booking requires a £100 deposit per person, with the balance due in April 2027. Coach fares are additional when buying a coach package. All 2027 tickets will be released on Saturday 26 September 2026. The important caveat is that Green Man has not yet announced the sale time or prices. Do not let a suspiciously precise social post persuade you otherwise. Sign up to the festival's mailing list and check its official ticket page before the day. Green Man limits purchases to six tickets of each type and ten tickets per order. Every person under 18 needs a ticket, and an adult aged over 21 must book and accompany them. If the main sale eventually sells out, the festival identifies Tixel as its official resale route and warns against unverified social-media resales. Check Green Man's official 2027 ticket page Do these five things before ticket day Agree the actual plan. Decide which festival is first choice, what ticket type everybody wants and whether coach travel or early entry matters. Collect the details now. For Glastonbury, put every registration number and postcode in one shared message or document. Check the information rather than trusting somebody's memory. Choose the lead booker. Use somebody who will be available at the sale time, has dependable internet access and can pay the required deposit without waiting for five bank transfers to arrive. Check access and age requirements early. Accessible facilities, companion arrangements and under-18 rules have their own processes and capacities. Read the official guidance before buying, not after. Use official links. A sold-out festival produces exactly the emotional conditions in which a convincing-looking resale advert becomes expensive nonsense. Make the ticket purchase the first part of the plan A ticket is not merely proof that money left your account successfully. Once it is booked, decide how you are travelling, where you are camping, what you need to borrow and how much the rest of the weekend is likely to cost. Spread those decisions out and the festival becomes something to look forward to rather than a logistics emergency conducted beside an open rucksack. If a music festival belongs on your list, add Attend a music festival or the more specific Glastonbury Festival , then deal with whichever deadline applies first. The line-ups can wait. The admin cannot.
